- The production management cycle for reports, scientific publications and public data.
- An overview of information sources in geosciences: commercial information, electronic resources, open archives and data repositories.
Managing a geoscience documentation centre
- Documentation techniques: document types and the processing chain from acquisition to cataloguing, indexing, use and distribution.
- The role and operations of a library in a research institution, and the functions of the integrated system used to manage it.
- User service activities.
Computerised library management
- Getting started with an open-source integrated system: building the catalogue, using it and distributing it through the portal.
- Installation, configuration, administrator settings, backup and access rights.
