Geophysical methods and their applications
- Geological mapping, hydrogeology, geotechnics, environment, geothermal energy and storage.
- Magnetics and gamma-ray spectrometry, ground-penetrating radar, near-surface electrical methods, electromagnetic methods, active seismic methods, proton magnetic resonance, and gravity and microgravity.
Specifications for geophysical surveys
- The client and the geophysicist: objectives and the information needed for decision-making.
- Selecting methods and sizing the campaign.
- The cost–benefit ratio of a geophysical study, and lessons from a client's experience.
